At Strabane Academy we are delighted in terms of our GCSE results. We are more than impressed with our GCSE results with the majority of our pupils obtaining 5 or more GCSE’s at A* – C enabling them to return into our newly revamped Sixth Form.
- Within our top stream; 93% of all pupils achieved 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE and 83% achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths.
- When we look the results for the whole year group, which includes a wide range of ability, 80% of the year achieved 5 or more GCSE grades at A*-C which compares very favourably with similar all-ability schools in Northern Ireland.

In Pathway 1, the top performing girl was Eve Kelly with 6 A grades and 4 B grades and the top performing boy was Jack Kee with 2 A*, 3 A and 5 B grades. Other top performers included; Hanna Darragh, Rachel Crawford, Aileen McGerrigle, Sarah Hetherington, Kerri McCrea, Aine Hunter, Mathew McKittrick, Adam Canning, Matthew Kelly and Luke McCosker
In Pathway 2, our top performing students included; Alexandra Keville, Ben Atcheson, Saskia Burke, Garry Magee, Luke Nelson and Matthew Rutherford.
In Pathway 3 our top performers where Megan Harpur, Elizabeth McGarrigle, Andrew Neill and Jack Mowbray.
These results reflect the hard work of our pupils and highlight the dedication and support provided by our staff. Within our intake we have a wide range of individual needs and ability levels and we are extremely proud of each of our young people who have been encouraged and supported to achieve to their potential.
