Strabane Academy PTFA present the annual SHOWSTOPPERS concert on Thursday 24th November at 8pm in Strabane Academy Junior Campus on the Derry Road. The Londonderry Musical Society and Britannia Concert Band will perform well known show and stage numbers.

These organisations have been performing Showstoppers concerts for the last 26 years raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities and community groups.

Under the musical directorship of Mr Jim Goodman, the choir will entertain with songs from Les Miserables, Evita and Andrew Lloyd Webber, a tribute to David Bowie, something to please all ages and tastes.

Celebrating their 150 years in existence, the Britannia Concert Band is one of the most well established and respected band of musicians in the country.

As conductor, Stewart Smith leads the band with music from Cole Porter, Ray Charles  and a foot tapping Holyrood march and Hootenanny.

Performances will include solos and combined choir and band numbers. The Academy is delighted that these organisations have selected the school for the Tyrone venue of ‘Showstoppers 2016’.
